Growing up surrounded by the modernism of Niemeyer and Burle Marx, I fell in love with architectural design at an early age while moving between various rental homes in Brasília, Brazil. Through these spaces, I learned to adapt, find beauty, and identify the unique challenges of every environment. Unsurprisingly, Brazilian Modernism became a cornerstone of my design philosophy. As I studied and travelled, I grew fascinated by international architectural styles, from traditional to contemporary. My references are, thus, a mix - a result of Globalization.
Living and studying in Toronto and later Ottawa introduced me to a fascinating new life and design constraint: the stark Canadian seasons. After three years of working for an engineering firm on a wide variety of projects across both Ontario and Nunavut, I am ready to design for everything the Canadian climate demands - while always infusing a hint of my tropical roots.
